Google has revamped the movie search experience with new features, including reviews and shortcuts to purchase tickets.
Typing the search term “showtimes” will generate a list of movies playing nearby, along with their locations and showtimes. You can simply tap on the chosen showtime to buy a ticket.
Additionally, the updated search cards will display reviews from IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes, helping users make more informed decisions about what movie to watch.
The example provided demonstrates how easy it is to compare movies based on reviews, theater location, and showtime.
Alternatively, if you have a favorite theater, you can see what’s playing by location and refine your search using filters.
To access these new features, you can use keywords like “showtimes,” “movies,” or specify a location with a keyword such as “Manhattan showtimes.”
Currently, this feature is available on the Google app for Android users in the US and India. It will soon be accessible on the Google app for iOS.
